Sardar Nanak Singh was born in 1921 in a village Principabad in District Sahiwal which is now in Pakistan . He had immense faith in Sukhmani Sahib Path and had learnt by heart and used to recite every day . It had given him the strength to overcome hurdles , meet life challenges and achieve what he wanted to . Sukhmani Sahib had always been an inspiration and life’s passion for him . He believed that whatever little help he had been able to give to the needy is not what came to him in the way of wealth but it is God’s bounty which I as his servant must share with others . He firmly believed that an earlier event in his life had made him reach to greater heights and achieve success & prosperity in the Dairy Business . It was in 1934 , when he was barely 13 years old . It was Bakr-Id . It was a big day for animal sacrifice . On that day , he got the Calf freed from the Muslim guy on payment of Rs.100/- which he borrowed from a neighbour and was able to send the Calf to the Gaushala (Cow Shed) . He had started his life earning with just Rs. 1.25/- as his daily wage and brought just Rs. 100/- with him after partition from Pakistan and had established such a big empire in the Dairy & Food Industry through his sheer hard work , good deeds , honesty and faith in God . He founded the Nanak Group of Industries in 1962 and took it from the by lanes of Amritsar to the war front of Bangladesh . He was the pioneer of Dairy Industry in India . Shri Nanak Singh was the first one to introduce poly pack milk in India way back in 1980 . ‘Nanak‘ has been the main suppliers of Milk & Milk products ( Desi Ghee , Paneer , Flavoured Milk etc. ) in India including the Indian Armed forces , Nestle amongst others . His life story is a true example of a man who rose from rags to riches , a man who could barely afford to hire a broken down bicycle to a fleet of foreign cars .
